Cancellation Policy

1. General Cancellation Terms

At OiO Travels, we understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent. Please read the following terms carefully to understand your rights and obligations when canceling a booking.

2. Flight Cancellations

Flight cancellation policies vary depending on the airline and fare type:

  • Refundable Tickets: Can be canceled with a full or partial refund, subject to airline terms and conditions.
  • Non-Refundable Tickets: Generally cannot be refunded, but may be eligible for credit or rebooking with applicable fees.
  • Cancellation within 24 hours: Most airlines allow free cancellation within 24 hours of booking if the departure is at least 7 days away.
  • Service Fee: A service fee of AED 100-500 may apply depending on the booking type.

3. Hotel Cancellations

Hotel cancellation policies depend on the property and rate selected:

  • Free Cancellation: Available on select bookings up to 24-48 hours before check-in.
  • Non-Refundable Rates: Cannot be canceled or modified. Full payment is charged at the time of booking.
  • Partial Refund: Some properties may offer partial refunds with cancellation fees ranging from 25-50% of the total booking value.
  • Peak Season: Stricter cancellation policies may apply during peak travel periods and holidays.

4. Holiday Package Cancellations

Cancellation charges for holiday packages are as follows:

  • More than 30 days before departure: 25% of total package cost
  • 15-30 days before departure: 50% of total package cost
  • 7-14 days before departure: 75% of total package cost
  • Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total package cost (no refund)

Note: Certain components of the package (flights, hotels, activities) may have their own cancellation policies which will be communicated at the time of booking.

5. Tour Cancellations

Tour cancellation policies vary by tour operator and destination:

  • More than 14 days before tour: Full refund minus administrative fee (AED 200)
  • 7-14 days before tour: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before tour: No refund
  • Group Tours: May have different cancellation terms based on group size and booking conditions.

6. Visa Service Cancellations

Visa processing fees are non-refundable once the application has been submitted to the relevant embassy or consulate. If you cancel before submission, a processing fee of AED 150 will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded.

7. Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, etc.), we will work with our partners to provide the best possible resolution, which may include rebooking, credit vouchers, or refunds as per supplier policies.

Please provide your booking reference number and the reason for cancellation. Our team will process your request and inform you of any applicable charges and refund timelines.

9. Important Notes

  • All cancellation requests must be made in writing (email or written form).
  • Cancellation charges are calculated from the date we receive your written cancellation request.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14-21 business days.
  • Bank charges and transaction fees are non-refundable.
  • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations.
